A NIGHT IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

A NIGHT IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

We stopped over at Kayabwe along Masaka highway for breakfast on our way from Kampala. We bought some souvenirs, witnessed an experiment that confirmed that we were standing at the equator. We enjoyed some photos then continued to Kasese. As we entered the park that afternoon we were welcomed by a group of baboons stopped and took lots of pictures then hurried of to catch our boat. On the boat ride along Kazinga channel we saw crocodiles basking lazily by the water shores, a group of elephants enjoying the water, a school of hippos and lots of birds. We were driven to Kingfisher safari lodge where we had our dinner and retired for the night. We woke up for an early breakfast at 5:00am then embarked on a game drive in the park viewing lots of bucks, warthogs, elephants, baboons, lions and buffalos. We visited the salt lake and witnessed the salt mining process then proceeded towards Fortportal . We stopped over for a sumptuous lunch at Green gardens restaurant then drove back to Kampala arriving late evening.
