Uganda maintains gorilla permit prices
Rwanda Development Board has confirmed that the price of a gorilla permit has increased from $750 to $1500. Half of the world’s surviving population of mountain gorillas are resident on the Virunga slopes shared between Rwanda and Mgahinga national park. The gorillas occasionally cross over to Uganda and Rwanda. However the other half of the gorillas is resident in Bwindi impenetrable forest, Uganda. Following the increment, the Uganda Wildlife Authority has also confirmed that Uganda gorilla permit prices will remain at $600 for foreign nonresidents for the next 12 months. Some tourists have always preferred to track the mountain gorillas from both the Rwandese and Ugandan sides so as to have an experience of these beautiful creatures residing in different habitats.
