Transfer to Murchison falls national park

You will be picked up from your Kampala hotel after breakfast today and will have a 5 hours drive to Murchison falls national park with a lunch stopover in Masindi. On arrival in the park, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight stay at Paraa safari lodge/ Sambiya river lodge/ Red chilli rest camp

Day 2: Morning game drive and launch cruise on the Nile

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transfered to the northern part for a 3 hour game drive. EXpect sights of antelopes, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants plus birds to mention but few. Retun to lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will go for boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will get chance to spot a variety of water and land animals resting on banks. excpect sightings of hippos, nile crocodiles, elephants plus plenty of birds during you trip to the bottom of Murchison falls. Return to lodge/ camp for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Drive to Kibale forest

Spend most of your day driving to Kibale forest arriving late evening with a stop over for lunch enroute. Dinner & Accommodation at Primate Lodge (luxury)/ Chimp’s Nest (Medium range)/ Chimpanzee guest house (Budget)

Day 4: Chimp walk and swamp exploration

Begin your morning with breakfast at your lodge after which you will be transferred to the forest for a short briefing by an UWA official and have a guide allocated for your Uganda Pearl of Africa Safari. You will view chimps in their natural habitat whilst on this walk and if you are lucky you may also see some other primates. Have lunch at your lodge then proceed to Bigodi wetland a pleasant spot for birders. Lots of swamp specialties like Green buls, African pitta, crowned eagle and many more will be spotted here. Dinner and overnight stay at Lodge/ camp

Day 5: Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park + evening game drive

Check out of your lodge after breakfast and continue your Uganda safari with a visit to Queen Elizabeth national park. Settle into your booked lodge/ camp after which you will relax and have a light lunch. Visit the mating grounds in the evening and whilst on this drive possible sights may be elephants, baboons, lions and other wildlife which will give you the perfect experience of Uganda Pearl of Africa. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari Lodge (luxury)/ Hippo hill camp (Medium range)/ Simba safari camp (Budget)

Day 6: Game drive and launch cruise

After an early morning breakfast, our guide will transfer you to the Kasenyi plain tracks for a 3 hour game drive. Expect sightings of a variety of mammal and bird species along the drive. Return to lodge/ camp for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will embark on boat cruise on Kazinga channel, expect sightings of hippos, elephants, crocodiles, antelope species plus lots of birds including the skimmers, African fish eagle and Kingfishers to mention but a few. Return to lodge/ camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Primate gorge walk & transfer to Bwindi

Today after breakfast you will enjoy a guided walk in Kyambura gorge viewing different primate species like the common baboon, chimpanzees, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus which make Uganda pearl of Africa. Have lunch at your lodge after which you will check out and drive through Ishasha (famous for tree climbing lion) reaching Bwindi impenetrable national park in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Forest Camp (luxury)/ Engagi lodge (Medium range)/ Buhoma community rest camp (Budget)

Day 8: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest

Our guide will pick you up from your lodge/ camp as early as 6:30 am and drive to the park headquaters for briefing and last minute preparations. Adventure into the forests under guindance of UWA rangers searching for the mountain gorillas. Trekking may last between 4- 6 hours depending on the loaction of the gorillas so carry bottled water and be physically ready for the adventure. You will be given an hour in their midst to take pictures as you observe them feed and interact. After the meeting, trek to extraction point where you will be picked up and driven to your lodge/ camp ending the gorilla trek experience. Dinner and overnight at lodge/ camp.

Day 9: Visit to Lake Bunyonyi

On leaving Bwindi, your next destination will be Lake Bunyonyi, a popular local attraction with up to 29 islands situated in Kabale. Have a stop over in Kabale to visit the Bakiga museum / home of Edirisa where you will have a local choice cuisine for lunch and guided short tour around the museum. Dinner and overnight stay at Birdsnest Bunyonyi (luxury)/ Arcadia cottages (Medium range)/ Bunyonyi overland camp (Budget)

Day 10: Canoe ride & Batwa community experience

Report to the banks of Lake Bunyonyi in the morning and board a traditional canoe to visit the local Batwa. Today’s entertainment involves a Batwa cultural performance and much more. Return to lodge / camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Transfer back to Kampla

Have breakfast then have a long drive to Kampala with a lunch stop over enroute. Stop over at Kayabwe – equator for photography and souvenir shopping after which you will proceed to Entebbe.
