5 Days Kibale & Queen Elizabeth Park

5 days (4 nights) Uganda safari combines the best of primate tracking and game viewing in two popular parks; Kibale forest , home to over 1400 chimps and other 12 primate species plus Queen Elizabeth national park, one of the most visited parks in Uganda.

Day 1: transfer to Kibale forest

The Debian safaris guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala after your breakfast. Drive to Kibale forest national park in Fortportal. Check into your lodge for relaxation and lunch. Have a drive to tour Fortportal town in the evening returning to your lodge for diner and overnight afterwards. Dinner and overnight stay at Primate Lodge (luxury)/ Chimp’s Nest (Medium range)/ Chimpanzee guest house (Budget)

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and swamp walk

Today your morning will begin with breakfast at your lodge. You will then report to the park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest. You will encouter a variety of other primates and bird species during the forest walk so get the camera full loaded. After your experience with these primates return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon have a guided nature walk in Bigodi swamp where swamp specialties like Green buls, African pitta, crowned eagle and many more may possibly be seen. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge/ guest house

Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park + evening game drive

Check out of your lodge after breakfast and proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park. Settle into your choice lodge after which you will relax and have a light lunch. Visit the mating grounds in the evening and whilst on this drive possible sights may be elephants, baboons, lions and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari Lodge (luxury)/ Hippo hill camp (Medium range)/ Simba safari camp (Budget)

Day 4: Game drive & launch cruise

Pre-breakfast game drive to spot early risers after which you will return to your lodge for breakfast and later lunch. Board the afternoon launch along the Kazinga channel where you will chance of seeing , hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles as they bask on the river banks, African fish eagle, cormorants and many more. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge/ camp

Day 5: Primate gorge walk and transfer to Kampala

Morning starts off with a sumptuous breakfast after which you will have a guided walk in Kyambura gorge viewing different primate species like the common baboon, chimpanzees, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus to mention but a few. Have lunch at your lodge after which you will check out and drive back to Kampala arriving in the evening
